Icom technology brings you high performance, full-function handhelds, the IC-W32A and IC-W32E, that meet the demands of both the novice and experienced operator: simple operation and advanced features.

Independent band controls
The W32 series handhelds have separate tuning and volume controls for each band on the top panel. This conveniently allows independent adjustment of either band. And for added versatility Icom introduces the VHFlUHF exchange function. This function allows you to assign VHF/UHF tuning and volume to either knob-set your preferred band to the knob farthest from the antenna for easy access. Of course the frequency display changes in sync with this function.

Simultaneous receive of both bands
Independent main and sub bands allow you to receive both VHF and UHF simultaneously; or use the V/V and U/U functions for receiving 2 frequencies on the same band. Moreover, either operating band can be used in transmit regardless of whether it appears in its `proper' display or not.

200 memory channels with memory nome capability 
100 memories for each band provide ample storage of most-used frequencies, repeater information, etc. Each channel can be assigned a name of up to 8 alpha characters from the keypad for easy recognition. This memory name function is also available for DTMF memory channels for auto patch dialing convenience. 

Handheld-to-handheld cloning ccpability 
Through the use of an optional cloning cable, information such as memory channels, memory names, etc. can easily be transferred from one IC-W32A/E to another. In addition, optional software allows you to clone and edit contents using a computer.
