Icom proudly announces the debut of the new low-mid tier model, the IC-F3022. This transceiver is the successor model of our long-selling, IC-F3G series. It is targeted at the lower segment of the general B&l market, while the upper portion is covered by the IC-F34G series.

The IC-F3022 retains the simplicity of operation with upl down channel selections, while having a similar design and construction with our latest IC-F3062.
The IC-F3022 provides many attractive features such as a large capacity Li-Ion battery pack, wide frequency coverage and a compact and light weight body.
The IC-F3022 is a radio designed and made like a high-end model, but offers features for simple everyday operation.

128 memory channels and button control memory channel
The IC-F3022 has 128 memory channels with 8 zones. Memory channel selection can be made easily with the up/down buttons laid out below the PTT button.

Same Lithium-Ion battery pack as F3062, F34G and F15 series
The IC-F3022 shares Lithium-Ion battery packs with the IC-F3062, F34G and F15 series. 3 capacity types of battery packs are available. The supplied 1150mAh large Li-Ion battery pack, BP-231, provides 9 hours* of operating time.

Newly designed rugged body
The IC-F3022 shares the same design concept with the IC-F3062 series. The large size 10-key buttons have ample button-pitch to allow blind touch operation. The IC-F3022 is also smaller and lighter than the IC-F3G series. The aluminum die-cast chassis is the basis for this rugged construction, allowing long-life usage in various environments.

Multi 2-tone/5-tone function built-in
The IC-F3022 has built-in 2-Tone, 5-Tone, CTCSS and DTCS signaling capabilities for group communication or selective calling. The IC-F3022 can decode ten 2-tone codes or eight 5-tone codes on a channel. When a matched tone is received, many actions are programmable for each code such as answer back calls, beep sounds, bell icon, radio stun/kill, scan and so on.

Internal option units available
The IC-F3022 has an internal 40-pin socket for an optional unit. Voice scrambler and DTMF decoder units are available, depending on the optional unit installed.

Wide frequency coverage
The IC-F3022 covers a wide frequency range with one version. The IC-F3022, has narrow channel spacing (12.5kHz).

Alphanumeric LCD
For the function display, an 8-character 14 segment alphanumeric LCD is employed to make a variety of information visually recognizable at a glance. An automatic LCD backlight is standard for night time operation.

Same options as the IC-F34G series
Battery packs, antenna, speaker-microphone and headsets are compatible with our IC-F34G series. A newly designed optional trickle desktop charger, BC-171 will offer the option of a cost effective charger alternative.
